Why Parents Choose an

Early Orthodontic Assessment

A child's breathing, jaw growth, and bite can shape their facial development, sleep, focus, and confidence.

Spotting concerns early often means simpler, gentler treatment down the track.

Healthy Breathing Supports a Healthy Smile

How a child breathes can influence jaw growth, sleep quality, and focus. Checking airway and breathing habits early helps us support healthier development — and flag anything worth keeping an eye on.

Better Sleep

Healthy breathing supports more restful sleep and recovery.

Focus & Learning

Good rest helps with concentration during the school day.

Healthy Growth

Early airway checks support healthy jaw and facial development.

Jaw Growth Monitoring

We check how your child's jaws are developing to spot potential bite and alignment issues early.

Orthodontic Analysis

We review jaw growth, bite, facial balance, and oral habits as part of your child's dental visit.

Breathing Check

We look at breathing habits that can affect jaw growth, sleep, and facial development — so anything worth watching is caught early.

Simpler Treatment Later

Early intervention may reduce the need for more complex orthodontic treatment as your child grows.

Common Questions From Parents

Everything you might be wondering before your child's first visit.

Is the check-up really free?

Yes — for children eligible under the Government CDBS scheme, the check-up and clean is fully bulk-billed (no out-of-pocket cost). We'll happily confirm your child's eligibility for you.

What if my child isn't eligible for CDBS?

No problem — our first-time check-up and clean is just $190, whether or not you hold private health insurance. We also offer payment plans and accept most major health funds.

My child gets nervous at the dentist. Can you help?

Absolutely. Our team is wonderful with anxious kids and we take things at your child's pace. We also offer happy gas (nitrous oxide) to help nervous children feel calm and comfortable throughout their visit.

How long does the appointment take?

Most children's appointments take around 30–45 minutes, including the check-up, clean, and a chat with you about anything we've found.

What age should my child first see a dentist?

[ Confirm your recommendation. A common guide is a first visit around your child's first birthday or when their first tooth appears, then regular check-ups every 6 months. ]

Where are you located and what are your hours?

We're on Vienna Rd in Alexandra Hills. Open Mon & Wed 8:30am–6pm, Tue & Fri 8:30am–5pm, Thu 9am–8pm, and Sat 8:30am–1pm. Call us on 07 3824 4488 to find a time that suits.
